From Independence March to Media Detox: September Snippets

Way back at the start of September, I ventured into Edinburgh with my wonderful husband, Jez. We’d gone in for the march for Scottish Independence and an independent Scotland to join the EU.

The plan was to post while we were there, but as ideas go, that wasn’t my best. I’ve done numerous marches for Indy and know that after we get going, there’s nothing more I can do than snap a few photies, or else I’m going to trip over something.

Leave a Light On for Scotland

I don’t tend to post wholly political posts on the blog. But, today, I’m making an exception.

From the moment I was born, I have been an EU citizen. That will no longer be the case as of 11PM tonight when my country, Scotland, who voted to remain, is dragged out of the EU against our will.

For many of us, this is a sad day. But there is hope, hope for a better future where Scotland will return to the EU as a normal, independent nation.

So, to our friends in the EU, I ask that you leave a light on for Scotland. We will be back.
