Word Count 13th July 2021

On Saturday, I shared that we were isolating because of possible COVID-19. Our tests came back negative. Woohoo. But, because we still have high temperatures we still have to isolate until we’ve had them down for forty-eight hours.

I have to say, whatever it is that’s got us is exhausting. We’re both so tired and our skeletons hurt. Adding that on top of CRPS has made it difficult to concentrate on writing for the last couple of days. Saying that, I did finally manage to get some new writing done.

I blocked out the next scene, after staring at the index cards for two days and coming up with nothing. Plus, I added another 323 new words to Running The Asset‘s manuscript! The story now sits at 9,050 words total.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure! Stay safe.

Author: Susan T. Braithwaite

Royal Navy veteran from Scotland. My journey into writing started with a screenwriting certificate program at UCLA Ext. Since then, I've worked as a freelance content writer, erotica author, proofreader, professional beta reader, and content editor. I'm now working hard on my dream writing career: romantic suspense author. When I'm not writing, I can be found drinking too much coffee, obsessing over yarn, and planning world domination with my husband, jezbraithwaite.blog, and our squirrel army.

Positive progress, Susan, despite whatever horrible bug had befallen you both. At least it’s not Covid (as I saw on Jez’s site). Did you get the jab already?

I got the first jag at the end of Feb. When I went for the second in May, I was refused because of an allergic reaction to the first. Since then, there’s been a load of calls etc. to get the second one set up in a specialist allergy ward. I’m going next Friday for it!

It is hard to write when unwell unless your characters are sick too 😂

      Thanks, Brian 😊
Only one character is sick, one of the bad guy’s henchman…but he’s sick in a different way 👺
I might take your advice on the soup and make some miso soup 🤤–if I rest much more, I’ll be comatose 😜
