Author Journal 26th August – 1st September 2021

It’s the last entry for August! Where the hell did the time go? I’ve spent most of it deep underground in the word mines. By the way, the canary down there uses swear words as punctuation fuck it’s contagious.

My Writing Goals for Last Week

How Did I Do?

I did it! I actually added 5,929 words, taking me to a total of 34,936 words. Admittedly, my two days off turned into only one. ? But, it did allow me to get that wee bit ahead of the game.

This Week’s Goal

  • Add 5064 words for Running The Asset (hit 40,000 words total).

Okay, I’ll be honest here. I don’t know if I’ll get too far on this week’s goal. As of Tuesday, I’m on holiday, and I can already feel myself getting into that “fuck it, I’m on holiday soon” kind of mood. Who knows, maybe I’ll surprise myself and just get the work done. ????

For now, my mantra is GET THE WORD DONE! (Yes, I’m shouting my mantra. It’s how I work.)

Schedule

ThursdayWrite 1000 words (I got 1127 words in)
FridayWrite 1000 words (still working on today’s words)
SaturdayWrite 1000 words
SundayWrite 1000 words
MondayWrite 1000 words
TuesdayHoliday!
WednesdayHoliday!

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by, and take care.

It took me a second to get JFDI. That’s the phrase I was going to use, then I realised I’d used up my weekly quota of fuck on the blog. ?
