Author Journal 14th – 20th October 2021

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been working hard on getting the writing done, and then there’s the whole Scotstober posting schedule that’s been kicking my arse.

But, I’m loving the fact that I’m getting the work done–not loving that I’m way behind on keeping up with the awesome bloggers I follow (yip, that includes my beloved Jez’s blog, too), but I’m giving myself a wee bit of time by doing a couple of picture posts for the Scots challenge.

Review 7th – 13th October 2021

My Writing Goals for Last Week

  • Write 3000 words for Running The Asset. (Hit 51,391 total words)
  • Block out the next two scenes

How Did I Do?

Nailed it, and then some! I blew past 3K words and closed the week out with a total of 4,146 new words added to the manuscript. My new total is 52,536 words.

Last week, I’d said that I’d aim for a scene or two on the dreaded scene blocking. Well, I got one scene blocked out and another is in a very loose form in my head. So, I’m calling that a win.

This Week’s Goal

  • Write 3000 words (taking me to 55,536)
  • Block out the next two scenes

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by, and take care.
