I can’t get over how well my first day back at the writing has gone! Running the Asset‘s manuscript is now sitting at 97,134 words. ?
Hi! I’m Scottish author Susan Tippett Braithwaite. I craft romantic suspense stories featuring Sex, Lies, Scots & Spies where danger and desire meet with explosive results.
How many words to go?
You had to ask the awkward question, didn’t you? ?
Okay, the quick answer is around 44K (total of 141K).
The long answer is I need 44K new words, but when I edit the word count is going to plummet to around 115K. I changed some things in the story and had to add more than a few scenes, and as I don’t edit as I go, I’ve kept the old stuff that’s getting chopped until the edit.
Hopefully by the end of the year to have a finished manuscript all things going well?
It looks like I’ll be finished with the draft mid-July. The edits should be done by the start of October ? Planning on a November release at the latest. Who knows, it could be sooner ?
Well get back to writing then and stop playing games ??
