After a slightly extended break from the blog–I’ve been working away in the background–I thought I’d ease back into posting by participating in my wonderful husband, Jez’s, weekly Fan Of… challenge.
Now, I’m slightly cheating here, but only slightly. We like a lot of the same things… so it’ll be no surprise that I’m also a fan of the Album Pathway in Glasgow.
The pathway was made to look like the spines of album covers for each band that performed at the Barrowlands from 1983 to 2014 when artist Jim Lambie created the path.
It was initially planned as a temporary piece of public art, but after a successful petition by locals, it is still there today–literally a wee bit worse for wear, but it still gives big grins as you walk along it.
The video below was a massive test of my willpower. It was my first time walking the pathway, and it took all of said willpower to not make a peep when I saw all my old favourites along the way. If you give it a watch, you’ll notice that I slow every so often. Let that be a hint that I’ve spotted a band I love: Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Incubus, Papa Roach, Slipknot… you get the idea.
Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you soon with an update on how the writing for Running the Asset is going.
