SLDS: Stop… Editing Time

Hi guys! It’s summer here in Scotland, and that tends to mean everyone is catching up on all those tasks they put off during the colder months. That’s not quite the case for me. But I do have a crazy amount of work ahead of me for the next six to eight weeks (give or take a couple).

So far, I’ve been able to juggle the Spies, Lies & Digital Skies challenge and my writing work, using my days off to do the posts. And, here comes the but. But… I’m now in the thick of editing No Second Chances, and having no time off is really starting to show. Tasks that should take a few days now take over a week because I’m physically and mentally exhausted.

Something has to give, and unfortunately, it’s SLDS. It’s not forever, just until mid-September/early October when the edits are completed and the book is out ?.

I won’t be gone from the blog entirely. There’s so much about the new book and the Deniable Unit world that I’ve got pencilled in to share with you. I’m not kidding about the pencilled-in; my Happy Planner is full of DU goodness for the blog.

Before we put SLDS on a break, check out Jez’s fantastic entry for last week’s “A Betrayal Revealed at a Critical Moment.” Thank you, Jez. Your images, as always, are fantastic!

Well, that’s it for now, but I’ll see you all soon.

Stay awesome,
Susan x

Will look forward to your return. Find one of your favorite upbeat songs and once or twice every day step away from you desk and just dance. Let you mind go where ever it wants.

Thanks, Marie! Have you been watching me? For seven minutes each hour, I’m up and stomping around to my favourite metal tracks. ?

Years ago I was in a writing group and we would put on Cher’s Believe and dance around before we started.

Best to keep in the slow lane – it’s a marathon rather than a sprint… and the tortoise and the hare comes into my head.?

Hopefully, I’ll meet somewhere in the middle of those animals. If I don’t have a fire under me… I get easily distracted by details no one else will ever see.

I look forward to your return, and also to whatever you have cooking, Susan! I may try to do this challenge in the interim since I missed it last week! I am currently bouncing between finishing my old job up and starting my new next week.
