Fan Of… Album Pathway

After a slightly extended break from the blog–I’ve been working away in the background–I thought I’d ease back into posting by participating in my wonderful husband, Jez’s, weekly Fan Of… challenge.

Now, I’m slightly cheating here, but only slightly. We like a lot of the same things… so it’ll be no surprise that I’m also a fan of the Album Pathway in Glasgow.

Things in Scots: Photie

Today is a special day for me and my beloved, Jez. It’s our 25th-year together-versary (totally a word)–and tomorrow is our 19th wedding anniversary.

I’d had today’s word down for a TiS: Running the Asset post, but I kept thinking about Jez’s site each time I sat down to write the post. So, what better day to do it than today?

Today’s word, photie, (pronounced phoatee) means photograph. So, in Scots, Jez’s site Photos by Jez is Photies bi Jez.

Here are some photies

As it’s Monday, and my beloved Jez hosts Fan of… I thought I’d share his Featured Blogger Interview on Marsha’s Always Write blog as my Fan of… post.

If you want a lift to your Monday with some fantastic photography and a wee bit of an introduction to Jez, then take a gander at this excellent interview.

It’s been a while since I’ve joined in with Jez’s Fan Of… One day I’ll get around to doing one on Scrivener (writing software), but that’s going to be a heck of a post. So, instead, I thought I’d share my love of the Duolingo app.

Fan Of… Daily Post #5 — Rabbids Invasion

Advertisements

For Day #5’s entry to Fan Of… I’m going with Rabbids Invasion. Before I first saw the animated show, I’d never really heard of Rabbids. I never played Rayman—I’m more of a Halo/Hitman/PGR gamer—so missed the whole thing.

The first episode I caught did it for me, and I’ve been a massive fan of the bwahsome creatures ever since. I even had the shopping bag (below) shipped over from France.

If I had to say why I love the show, I’d say it’s a combination of the humor, the writing, and the endless ways of saying, “Bwah.”

If you haven’t caught an episode, do yourself a favor and check out Season 4 on Netflix.

I missed yesterday’s post—bogged down with site nightmares, again. So, here I am playing catchup as I’m unable to skip it. Seriously, how can I go from day 3 to day 5 and not go mental about the missing day?

For this Fan Of… post, I’m going with one of my all-time favorite cars. I say one of, but in reality, this is the car of my dreams. No other car comes close. The Ford Mustang (or Sorsie, as I’ve called it ever since I saw it on TV when I was a kid, I wanted one).

My taste became a bit more focused when I watched So I Married An Axe-Murderer in the 90s. There’s a scene where Charlie (Mike Myers) is driving around, and for the briefest of moments, there’s a gorgeous, sky blue 1965 Mustang convertible. The moment I saw that boy, that was it for me. Teenage me was in love. Adult me is still wildly obsessed with that car.

For today’s Fan Of… daily post, I’m going with squirrels. I just love these furry wee monsters–even after they destroyed our greenhouse.

It’s a little challenging to match Jez’s photo quality, so I didn’t even try it. I ended up cheating and took stills from videos of us feeding them at the window.

For today’s Fan Of… daily post I’m going with FarCry. I started playing FarCry on the original Xbox when they came out. The game has changed a lot over the years, but the original entertainment value has stuck around. As for Pagan Min, I think he’s one of the best antagonists out there.

I thought I’d take part in Jez’s fun Fan Of… daily post series. As a bit of a TV and movie geek, I have a fair amount of memorabilia and nick-nacks (read: toys) from my favorites.

Today, I’m going with Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony. I loooove Pinkie’s insanity and contagious happiness.
