It’s another Things in Scots day, or Friday if you want to call it that. ? As I mentioned in previous posts, it’s challenging to find snippets that don’t contain spoilers… or torrid sex scenes. ? But, I managed to find something that doesn’t give anything away, and it doesn’t have anything more than some naughty thoughts going on in the text.

Here’s the snippet… (mid-editing draft!)

Why had Adam brought her back here? He should have taken Elle to her place. At least there, he could have taken her sister’s room; he could have kept some distance from her.

It was the sex between them that was messing with his head. There was something incendiary between them when they fucked. An almost tangible entity drove them higher and higher until neither could see sense.

Getting rid of her was the best plan. It would be easy enough to dump her on another handler or send her to Killian and her sister. Because one thing he knew for sure was that he was the absolute worst person to do the job. He spent half his time thinking about fucking her and the other half thinking about things that could never be. He shook his head in an attempt to gaither hissel.

As ever, I hope the context made the meaning of gaither clear. But, if not, gaither means to gather in English. And, hissel means himself in English. In the case of this snippet, gaither hissel means to collect his thoughts/pull himself together.
