      I’m glad to hear that she’s making good progress, and I’m sure she’ll be back to her firecracker ways once she’s ready. Please let her know that both Jez and I wish her a complete and speedy recovery.

    Q: How do you spell the sound of a whip cracking?
    A: The sound is generally referred to as the crack of a whip or a whip crack, and since crack is already onomatopoeic, you can’t go wrong with it. Crack!

      The whip is down for the moment, but it’ll be cracking again in a week or so.
      On the subject of onomatopoeia, whip is also one. Well, it is in the Scots language. We sound the ‘wh’ on a harsh breath and the ‘p’ is hit hard. (Think Stewie from Family Guy saying Wil Wheaton or Cool Whip.)

        Oh yeah, I watched the first six (or so) series of that. I’m currently waiting for someone to buy me the box set of all the episodes so that I can binge-watch it all. 😀
