Way back at the start of September, I ventured into Edinburgh with my wonderful husband, Jez. We’d gone in for the march for Scottish Independence and an independent Scotland to join the EU.

The plan was to post while we were there, but as ideas go, that wasn’t my best. I’ve done numerous marches for Indy and know that after we get going, there’s nothing more I can do than snap a few photies, or else I’m going to trip over something.

So, I figured I’d post the rest of the photos when I got home, but that didn’t happen as I was off on holiday, and laziness gripped me tight in its cosy embrace.
And then I conveniently forgot about it after a couple of weeks of media detox. The detox is courtesy of Week Four of The Artist’s Way course I’m working my way through. The detox is for one week, but I decided to stretch it to two weeks because I was cheating slightly by watching TV with Jez before bed and playing Halo with him on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
With it still being September, it’s still timely enough to share a few pics from the rest of the march with you. (Click on pics for full-size and captions.)

Oh, and to sneak into Jez’s Water, Water Everywhere challenge, too.

I’m finally getting around to sharing some photos from the Edinburgh Indy march. #march4indyandeu #edinburgh #theartistsway

I am disappointed that Jez didn’t paint his face blue or at least eye shadow 😁
Nice sneak in as well. Looks like a dragon reflection – fabulous 😀
😂😂😂 Next time maybe!
Oh, the reading and media detox of The Artists Way… I remember that. 😊
Thank you for sharing the pictures and giving us an update about the indie marches. I haven’t seen anything about that on the German news, lately.
Also, while looking at all the pictures, I am noticing how much I’m missing the Isles.
Thanks, Steffi! I thought I was going to hate the detox, but it’s been so refreshing to spend that time doing things for me (I even found the time to make a new skirt for myself) 😀
At’s braw!
We tend to stick to our usual patterns – and it is good to have structure. At the same time, it is amazing what spaces can open up when we allow things to shift a bit.
It certainly is!
What a lovely time to do to Edinburgh. Well done!
Thank you, Chris! We had wonderful weather for it.
Great post, Sweetie & what a great day & Indie March through Edinburgh 🏴 Halo this afternoon 🤔
Thanks, Sweetie! It was a great day–shame we both forgot to take pics of the tram!!! We’ll have to take another run through for that. As for Halo… I’m loaded for grunts 🔫
