New Year, New Week: The Beauty of 2024 Starting on a Monday

Inner chimp is ready to plan

There’s something deeply satisfying about 2024 starting on a Monday. For planners, organisers, and anyone who relishes a neat and orderly start, this alignment feels like a cosmic nod to our love for tidiness and structure (although, maybe not my desk, which turns into a bombsite five minutes after cleaning it ?). As we step into the New Year, let’s explore the joy and potential that this unique beginning offers.

The Perfect Alignment

A new year symbolises fresh starts and new beginnings, but when it coincides with the start of a new week… oh, wow, it gets your planning juices going. It’s like a written invitation from the Universe to get our arses in gear and synchronise our calendars and planners to tackle the year ahead with a clean slate.

Embracing the Planner’s Dream

If you’re like me and love planners, stickers, and all things planning, this alignment is a dream come true. It’s an opportunity to set our goals and intentions with an enhanced sense of order and potential. Whether it’s about personal growth, professional achievements, creative endeavours, health and wellness, or all of the above, the start of 2024 on a Monday is like a blank page waiting to be filled with our aspirations and plans. And I, for one, am giddy!

Oh, look how perfect that is!

Annual Intentions: My Phrase for the Year

Each year, I choose a word or phrase to guide me for the year ahead. It’s a tradition that’s become a cornerstone of my planning. Last year, it was ‘progress.’ Yip, I didn’t advance as much as I’d hoped in some areas, but I did make progress in them all–specifically in editing ‘Running the Asset.’

Reflecting on past years, I realised that I was reacting to events, especially recurring ones. I spent a lot of time scrambling. Whether it was seasonal demands from the Etsy shop or recurrent household matters, I found myself constantly playing catch-up. This year, I’m shifting gears. With ‘always be proactive’ as my guiding mantra. I’m planning ahead, preparing for these recurring events months in advance. It’s about being ahead of the game, not just in it.

I had to make it into a magnet!

How Your Own Annual Theme Can Transform Your Year

Choosing a guiding word or phrase for the year can be transformative. It’s a simple yet powerful way to focus your energy and intentions. Picking something that resonates with your aspirations, can help guide your decisions and actions throughout the year. What word or phrase captures the essence of what you want to achieve or embody this year?

A New Year of Promise and Potential

As we embrace the first day of 2024, let’s celebrate the order and symmetry (and tingles over the perfection) it brings. Let this be the year where we find joy in the journey, make meaningful progress towards our goals, and cherish the simple pleasures of life. Here’s to a neat and tidy start to a year brimming with possibilities!
