A Wee Bit of Saturday Fun

freeway billboard
Advertisements

If I had a freeway billboard, what would it say? Well, we don’t have much in the way of billboards on our motorways in Scotland. The ones for advertising are mostly in the cities. But I remember how huge they were in Los Angeles, looming up ahead as we drove along.

I always liked the fun ones. And it’s those fun ones and a need to take a break from the more serious topics (perfectionism, etc.) of the past week that I wanted to do a fun one. Who doesn’t need a wee chuckle when they’re stuck in the car on a long journey? So, here’s my sign (probably not very original):

So, let’s have a bit of fun today. What would your freeway billboard say? Drop your ideas in the comments, and let’s share a laugh or two. After all, it’s the weekend, and we all deserve a wee chuckle!

  1. Haha I love that back seat idea! I’ve always quite liked the modern art display as you go across the Whitecart Viaduct near Glasgow Airport.

Thanks! I saw the giant Paisley monolith for the first time in October there. I hadn’t been expecting it, so I missed the chance to get a shot of it. I really liked it, too.

  2. I thought for a moment that I saw the Angel of the North on the A1 to Newcastle!!
