Paws and Reflect… on Cats

For those who know me, it’s no surprise that I’m a cat lover through and through. Cats have been a part of my life in one way or another, bringing joy, comfort, and a bit of craziness.

In honour of this feline fascination, I’ve decided to keep today’s post light and visual—a picture post! Here are a few pics that capture the essence of why cats hold a special place in my heart.

Phil and Lil, the Dynamic Duo:

A throwback to my first pet kittens, named after the famous Rugrats twins. They were full of energy, mischief, and weirdness!

Cats in Art:

I’ve always been drawn to artwork featuring cats. Their grace and mystery are captivating.

A Cozy Cat Nap:

There’s nothing quite like the sight of a cat curled up and snoozing. It’s a reminder to take life a little slower and enjoy the peaceful moments.

With their independent spirit and affectionate companionship, cats have always been more than just pets to me—they’re a source of inspiration and comfort.

So, are you a cat person, a dog lover, or perhaps an admirer of a more unusual creature? I’d love to hear about your favourite animals! Drop your thoughts in the comments below.

I’m enjoying a wee break and spending some quality time offline, but I’ll keep my promise to myself by posting my responses to the bloganuary prompts. I’m looking forward to catching up on your comments soon.

Stay pawsome!

Your real kitties and the art kitties are so cute! We’ve had both cats and dogs, sometimes at the same time. I love them all, but I think cats I like the best. 🙂

Thank you! We’re the same… but cats always come out on top ?

I’ve known wonderful cats as well as dogs and also various other animals. So, no favourites on my end.
Phil and Lil are real cuties! They must have brought a lot of joy to your life.

Hi Steffi! ? They were a handful but so much fun. We had a wee dog, too, and loved her to bits. It’s always a joy to make friends with animals.

Oh, man, those pics are far too cute!

Thanks, Kevin. I couldn’t stop messing about with DALL-E for the wee eejit cat art. ??

I sometimes spend far too much time in there myself these days, so I get it ?

We’ve gotten deeper down the rabbit hole with it. We went from two ChatGPT Plus accounts, and we just upgraded to a Teams account because of the upper limit on chats etc. ?

Do you need to start seeking treatment yet? ??

??? I’ll let you know if I do!

Gorgeous, gorgeous cats! Lil and Phil was so tiny back then – bless????
Should I mention Luna? Oops, there she is?

    1. Susan T. Braithwaite Avatar

They were wee menaces with razor-sharp claws, but so cute! I was thinking about Luna when I was writing the post ?

      1. Chris Hall Avatar

Wow! Luna? Really… she’s very loud but at least no one can hear her!

      2. Susan T. Braithwaite Avatar

Luna looks exactly like the cat that lived next door when I was wee. He used to sleep in my bed most nights. Okay, she looks a lot like the cat I kidnapped as a kid ??
