Word Count 5th July 2021

It’s been a bit of a high-pain day with the CRPS. I managed to add another 885 new words to Running The Asset‘s manuscript (MS) 🥳 That’s even with a major quandary over the past-participle of the Scots word skite. According to Modren Scots Grammar it’s skitit, which is exactly how I say it (skiyt-ih–the ih is to show the glottal stop for the final t). The MS is now sitting at a total of 5205 words.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure! Stay safe.

When I'm not writing, I can be found drinking too much coffee, obsessing over yarn, and planning world domination with my husband, jezbraithwaite.blog, and our squirrel army.

Not a word I’ve come across! I’m having a little battle with the odd Afrikaans expression today – lucky I have a bilingual beta reader. Okay back to bash out a few more words… You take care, Susan.

    1. It means slide, slip. Oh, I bet it’s a lot of fun infusing Afrikaans into your work–hard work, mind you. Wishing you many more words, you take care, too 😊
