Word Count Update 31st March

I can’t get over how well my first day back at the writing has gone! Running the Asset‘s manuscript is now sitting at 97,134 words. πŸŽ‰

Author: Susan T. Braithwaite

Royal Navy veteran from Scotland. My journey into writing started with a screenwriting certificate program at UCLA Ext. Since then, I've worked as a freelance content writer, erotica author, proofreader, professional beta reader, and content editor. I'm now working hard on my dream writing career: romantic suspense author. When I'm not writing, I can be found drinking too much coffee, obsessing over yarn, and planning world domination with my husband, jezbraithwaite.blog, and our squirrel army.

    1. You had to ask the awkward question, didn’t you? πŸ€ͺ

Okay, the quick answer is around 44K (total of 141K).

The long answer is I need 44K new words, but when I edit the word count is going to plummet to around 115K. I changed some things in the story and had to add more than a few scenes, and as I don’t edit as I go, I’ve kept the old stuff that’s getting chopped until the edit.

      1. It looks like I’ll be finished with the draft mid-July. The edits should be done by the start of October 🀞 Planning on a November release at the latest. Who knows, it could be sooner 😊
